Melvin C. West
Melvin C. West was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Melvin has dedicated his life to service and excellence. He began his academic journey at Columbia Jr. College, where he majored in Data Processing, laying the groundwork for a career rooted in technology and logistics.
Following his education, Melvin joined the U.S. Navy, serving honorably for 8 years in the weapons department. His military career was marked by a commitment to duty and a focus on critical operations. After his time in the Navy, he transitioned to a 23- year career as a U.S. Merchant Marine, working for the Department of Defense Military Sealift Command, where he continued to serve his country through maritime operations supporting NATO alliance.
Throughout his distinguished government career, Melvin has achieved numerous accolades for his contributions to military and humanitarian efforts. He was awarded the Secretary of Defense Medal for Global War on Terrorism and the Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal for his participation in Operation Noble Eagle, as well as Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Additionally, he was recognized with the U.S. Merchant Marine Outstanding Achievement Award for his pivotal role in Operation Tomododachi, where he provided essential relief efforts in the aftermath of the catastrophic great east Japan earthquake and subsequent tsunami. Melvin legacy is one of valor, resilience, and dedication to service, reflecting lifetime commitment to helping others in time of need.

James Williams is an IT and Telecom professional with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. He specializes in developing strategies that align processes, personnel, and technologies to drive growth for organizations. James holds multiple IT, Telecommunications, and SCRUM Alliance certifications among other qualifications.
Mr. Williams is the former owner of Nexgeneration Telecom Solutions LLC, a full-service telecommunications company specializing in the installation and integration of cellular base stations and switches for various vendors throughout the Southeastern United States.
James is a veteran of the United States Army Signal Corps with a deep commitment to addressing the challenges faced by veterans and those in poverty. He believes that while he may not be able to assist everyone, he can empowers individuals who can make a difference.

Margaret Tate
Margaret Tate is a dedicated business owner in real estate, as well as a daughter, sister, and loving mother of two sons living in Orangeburg County. She grew up in White Plains, New York, and discovered her passion for real estate in 2008. She obtained her New York realtors license on her birthday November 7, 2008 and held that license until 2017.
Margaret Tate is a real estate investor and advocate for the homeless. In 2016, she founded Diamond's Transitional House in Orangeburg, South Carolina, successfully preventing over 52 individuals from becoming homeless by offering them homes. Margaret is proud to recognize the support of the South Carolina State University community awareness board in this important initiative.
Margaret Tate collaborates with various organizations, including the Salvation Army, Red Cross, and United Way, to advocate for homelessness prevention in Orangeburg County. Margaret finds deep fulfillment in her works, especially when she hand over keys to a house. She cherish the smiles and joyful tears of families, knowing her efforts have led to a peaceful home for them.

Robert Wiggins is a Logistic Supply Chain Specialist with more than 20 years of experience in the industry.
